Why you should move to Canada?

The United States residents have around 100 immigration pathways if we talk about immigration from the USA to Canada. Every year, around 10,000 American citizens immigrate to Canada. These settlements are done through the Express Entry.

The surveys suggest that between 2017 and 2019, the applicant’s rate doubled from 7% to 12% in the Express Entry category.

Benefits of Canadian Immigration:

Canada is considered as the top immigration destination across the world, have you wondered why is that? These are some of the benefits:

There are various benefits in the healthcare sector, as there is free healthcare for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. So, they usually are not required to pay extensive bills, the expenses are subsidized by the government.

  • Great balance in work and life in Canada:

The workforce in Canada has not to work too long, as the working hours here are shorter. For example, the full-time working hours are 47 in the US, and in Canada, there are 40 working hours a week.

  • Paid national holidays in canada:

The workers in Canada are granted paid national holidays.

The immigrant intakes by the country makes Canada as the top country for welcoming the most immigrants annually.

Express Entry: the primary immigration stream

The immigrants have the option to select over 100 immigration programs, but the most important immigration stream is through the Express Entry. The federal Express Entry system is responsible for managing the three primary economic immigration streams of Canada. The streams included in the Express Entry system are:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

In the Express Entry system, the candidates are ranked due to the human capital characteristics and are provided with a score in the Comprehensive Ranking System. The assessment factors include age, education, skilled work experience, and language proficiency. The candidates with the highest scores are issued Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the permanent residence. Many provinces of Canada use the Express Entry System for the invitations. The candidates can also apply for the provincial nominations through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The candidates who are successful in obtaining the provincial nomination, are given additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. These points often ensure the applicants for a guaranteed ITA for permanent residence.

A path for Canadian Citizenship

When the residents arrive in Canada to obtain permanent residence, then after a specific time, they are eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship. The permanent residents have to prove that they have lived in Canada for the duration of three years or 1095 days. Around 85% of the immigrants become Canadian citizens after landing in the country.
