Saskatchewan pnp has held its latest PNP draw on December 1, 2020. As the result, The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has invited candidates from the International Skilled Worker category through the following two subcategories:
- Express Entry
- Occupations In-Demand
A total of 564 invitations were sent to those candidates who had work experience in the designated occupations. A total of 138 candidates were invited through the Express Entry. The 426 invitations were issued to the candidates in the Occupations In-Demand category. To get invited for this draw, the candidates were required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile along with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). The candidates required a 74 EOI score to get invited. The invited candidates also required work experience in the 86 occupations.
The concerned candidates are required to create an EOI profile. In this, they have to prove their intent to live and settle in Saskatchewan. They also have to demonstrate their work experience, age, education, language proficiency, and their ties in the province. By assessing the following factors, the SINP designates the candidates with a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessments Grid.
The candidates who have the highest scores in the grid, are issued an invitation in which they have to apply for the provincial nomination in the province to get Canadian permanent residence.
- Express Entry sub-category
In the following round, the province issued 138 invitations to those applicants who had their profiles in the federal Express Entry pool. Saskatchewan’s Express Entry is linked with the federal Express Entry portal. This federal Express Entry system manages the three main immigration categories. Those categories are:
-
Federal Skilled Worker Class
-
Federal Skilled Trades Class
-
Canadian Experience Class
The Express Entry candidates who file for the provincial nomination, and if they receive a provincial nomination they are awarded additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. If they get this, they are guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence. There is a probability of an invitation if the candidates had a profile in the Express Entry, and they had filed out an EOI with a 74 grid score.
- Occupations In-Demand sub-category
The Occupations In-Demand category is for those immigration applicants who do not have their profiles in the federal Express Entry system. This program is designed to fill the labour shortages in the province, as the invited candidates are accommodated in the designated occupations. A total of 426 candidates were invited under this category, and a provincial score of 74 was required to get selected.
