Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program:
The PEI PNP allows the participating immigrants to nominate themselves for economic immigration streams, and to apply for Canadian permanent residence. The PEI PNP has also an Express Entry pool that is connected with the federal Express Entry system. The federal Express Entry system is responsible for managing the applications for the main economic immigration streams of Canada. The streams under the federal Express Entry system are:
- Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)
- Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
PEI Express Entry
The Province Edward Island Express Entry is also merged with the Express Entry system. The eligible candidates are provided with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS scores are given based on the candidate’s age, language proficiency in English or French, work experience, and education. The Express Entry candidates who get a provincial nomination are given 600 additional points. Those candidates have also ensured an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
To get selected for a provincial nomination, the Express Entry candidates are required to create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile along with the Prince Edward Island’s PNP. The EOI profiles are allotted points relating to the point grid of the respective province. The candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for the monthly draws.
PEI: Labour Impact Category
The immigration candidates having a valid job offer from an employer in PEI and having support from their employer fall under the Labour Impact category. This category is further divided into three streams:
- Skilled Worker
- Critical Worker
- International Graduate
The candidates in this category are also required to submit an EOI profile.
PEI: Business Impact Category
The invitations for the Business Impact category were issued under the Work Permit Stream. This stream is specifically for those foreign entrepreneurs who wish to operate a new business in Prince Edward Island.
