On September 24, the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program has issued the invitations to the workers from the automotive industry. This illustrates that the workers from the automotive industry who belong to the various countries, there is a good opportunity for them to get immigration to Canada.
The automotive industry workers were invited to apply for the provincial nomination from Nova Scotia. These workers had their profiles in the Express Entry system.
Nova Scotia Nominee Program
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) has released the selection criteria for this program, but the number of invitations has not been defined yet.
Eligibility:
The candidates were required to have their primary occupations from the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes:
- NOC 7322: Motor vehicle body repairs
- NOC 7321): Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers
Work Experience: The candidates were required to prove their work experience. The work experience must be of 2-3 years, for the full-time, part-time equivalent. The applicants must possess their work experience in the related industry, and their work experience should be within 5 years.
Canadian Language Benchmark: 5 Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) was required in all the English language skills. Proof of education, an assessment from the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report, test copies, and the application of provincial nomination was required in the documents. The candidates also needed to have a complete education of two or more years at a post-secondary institution. The invited candidates can send their applications till October 24.
Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream
This stream invited the candidates to fill the labour shortages in Nova Scotia. This was the first PNP draw since May.
Express Entry
The candidates were required to have their profiles in the Express Entry system to get selected for the Labour Market Priorities Stream.
The federal Express Entry system is the main application portal that is managed by the federal government. This Express Entry system comprises of the three primary and economic immigration streams of Canada. This system upholds the applications of the top 3 immigration categories of Canada. The categories included in the federal Express Entry System are:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The candidates who enter this application pool are assessed on the human capital characteristics, also they are given points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The candidates are given points on their age, education, skilled work experience, education, and language proficiency in English or French. The candidates who acquire the highest scores, they are issued the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence. The candidates who receive a provincial nomination, they are allotted with supplementary 600 points, as this ensures their ITA.
