Nova Scotia PNP invitations

Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program has invited immigrants from the selected professions. The candidates have been called from the specific occupations that were programmers and media developers. The Express Entry candidates were invited to the Labour Market Priorities Stream. The province called the immigration candidates to apply for the provincial nomination on October 22, 2020.

 

Nova Scotia Nominee Program:

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) issued the eligibility criteria for the Express Entry candidates. The invited candidates were able to apply for Nova Scotia’s provincial nomination. These invitations were issued under the Nova Scotia Labour market Priorities Stream. The Nova Scotia Nominee Program did not issue a number of invitations to the general public. The invited candidates were invited under the occupations in-demand categories. The primary occupations were computer programmers and media developers, the NOC for these occupations is NOC 2174. These candidates were required to provide valid reference letters from employers. These candidates must possess a minimum full-time work experience in the regarding occupation. The work experience of the candidates must be within the previous five years of filling the application. The applicants also required a minimum of one year of Canadian experience in any of the occupations with a NOC skill level of O, A, or B. The Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB 7) was required for the candidates in all the language abilities. Another requirement was also included in these eligibility criteria, which was an obligation to possess a bachelor’s degree or a post-secondary program.

Deadline for Nova Scotia PNP:

The last date to apply for this provincial nomination is on November 21, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.  In the application filing process, the candidates need to attach copies of the language tests, and educational documents. The candidates need an Educational Credential Assessment report if they have their educational credentials from outside Canada. The Labour Market Priorities Stream has invited these immigration candidates to fill up the labour gap in the province’s market.

Express Entry candidates:

To get a provincial nomination from the province through the Labour Market Priorities Stream, the candidates are required to have a valid profile in the Express Entry system.

To be considered for a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia. Express Entry System is the application system, that is responsible for handling the immigrant applications for the three main economic streams of Canada. The economic streams under the Express Entry system are:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

  • Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC)

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

The candidates with the highest rankings are invited to apply for Canadian PR. They are invited through the regular draws. The invitation round usually takes every two weeks. The candidates who receive a provincial nomination, they receive additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The additional 600 points guarantee their ITA and their chances to get a permanent residence.
