In a new draw held, British Columbia (BC) has issued invitations to Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
The total 437 invitations were sent and issued in the following categories of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP):
- Skilled Worker Class
- International Graduate
- Entry Level
The minimum scores for this draw depended on the subcategories, and the score ranged between 76 to 98 points.
The subcategories included in the Express Entry British Columbia stream, and their scores in the draw were:
- International Graduate, with a provincial score of 98.
- Skilled Worker, with a provincial score of 97.
The candidates with a profile in the Federal express entry system are eligible for the Express Entry British Columbia. The express entry system manages the pool for the applicants under the following three categories:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
The Express Entry candidates who apply for permanent residence under the provincial nomination, they receive additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. These candidates are guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR in a Federal Entry Draw.
The categories included in the Skills Immigration Stream and the draws score were:
- Skilled Worker were required with a provincial score of 97
- International Graduate were required with a provincial score of 98
- Entry-Level and Semi-skilled were required with a provincial score of 76
The candidates in the categories of Skilled Worker, Entry Level, Semi-Skilled and International Graduate are obligatory to enroll with the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) as they complete a profile with BC PNP’s online system.
Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) is a point-based system that is used by the BC PNP for the evaluation of the candidates in the selection factors of education, work experience, and language proficiency.
The Invited (SIRS) candidates and Express Entry candidates must possess a full-time job offer with a validated employer in British Columbia.
