In the latest Express Entry Draw, Canada has invited 3,300 new Canadian Experience Class candidates.
Canada has followed the same pattern for holding a Canadian Experience Class’s specific draw after every PNP draw. Canada held a new round for Express Entry on August 20.
This latest draw of Express Entry was the second draw in these two days. This was the 161th Express Entry Draw, held by IRCC.
3,300 invitations were issued to the Canadian Experience Class candidates. 454 CRC score was required to get an Invitation To Apply (ITA).
This CRC’s cut off score was 9 points higher than the previous draw for CEC. The previous draw was held on July 23, with a CRC cutoff score of 445. It is quite known that the higher score is due to more registered candidates in this pool. Previously, 600 PNP candidates received ITA’s.
The Express Entry System is responsible for the management of the three main economic immigration streams of Canada. These streams are:
- Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Moreover, other provincial immigration programs are attached to the Express Entry System. The eligible candidates for the immigration programs are issued scores under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System. The points are awarded on basic human capital factors such as age, language, work experience and language proficiency. The candidate’s CRC score is one of the major selection factors for the application of Permanent Residence.
IRCC has used the tie-break rule in this draw. This rule is used for the ranking of the candidates who have the same CRC score that is based on the time when they had created profiles. This tie-breaking rule for this draw was selected for July 27, 2020. Whereas the time for it was 11:10:05 UTC, this means that the candidates who had a CRC score of 454, those were invited who submitted their profiles before the above stated time. After this draw, the total invitations in 2020 are now reached to 65,750. The surprising thing is that, if we compare these invitations to the previous year, they are more than 2019.
Candidates can easily submit their profiles in Express Entry System. The applications are being processed and assessed.
