Manitoba has held the PNP draw on November 12, 2020. As a result of this draw, Manitoba has invited 196 immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence. This year, Manitoba has issued around 4,469 invitations to the applicants.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited the skilled workers and international graduates through the following three immigration streams:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- International Education Stream
- Skilled Workers Overseas
The number of LAAs and EOI scores for the streams are:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 144 LAAs, EOI score of 526
- Skilled Workers Overseas:22 LAAs, EOI score of 769
- International Education Stream:30 LAAs, no EOI score requirement
Among the total 196 LAAs that were issued, 40 were issued to the Express Entry candidates. The MPNP will not accept those candidates who do not have valid Express Entry ID’s, job seeker validation code, and verified work experience in the province’s In-demand Occupations list. The MPNP only considered the applications for the Skilled Worker Overseas candidates in this draw. Those candidates who have been working in the regulated occupations have been invited to this draw.
The MPNP might refuse those candidates who are not working in the regulated occupations, or they do not provide the licensing steps to work in Manitoba. In the November 19 draw, the total number of invitations have been reached 4,469.
Express Entry Manitoba
The Federal Express Entry System manages the three main economic immigration streams of Canada that are:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
The Express Entry candidates who apply for provincial nomination also receive additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System score. The CRS scores are managed on the human capital factors such as age, work experience, qualification, education, and language proficiency in English or French. This additional score ensures and guarantees that the candidates will receive an ITA for permanent residence. The Express Entry Candidates with a valid provincial nomination from Manitoba had to declare their legitimate Express Entry id, along with a job seeker code. The Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba had to declare a valid Express Entry ID and a job seeker validation code.
Manitoba’s EOI system
Those interested candidates who want to immigrate through the provincial nominee program, are required to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. So, that they can receive a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) through the following streams:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- Skilled Workers Overseas
In this pattern, the applicants are given rankings that are based on 1,000 points. These assessment points are based on the human capital characteristics such as language proficiency, education, skilled work experience, and the applicant’s connections in Manitoba.
