The Australian Government has announced changes in the student visa policies for international students. These arrangements are made to maintain Australia as the top study destination for international students.
The recent changes include:
- The students who have applied for student visas outside Australia, they will be granted a visa. The students will already have been issued visas before the borders will open, and they will be able to enter the country.
- If the students are not able to complete their study within the visa duration then, the international students can apply for a student visa application free of cost. The student visa fee waiver will be available from 5th
- The eligibility requirements for the post-study work visa will have compensation, if the student has been impacted by Covid-19, and had any issues regarding travel sanctions.
Under these amendments:
- The graduates that are affected by Covid-19, they will be able to apply for a Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa outside of Australia
- The applying candidates for the English tests will be extra time to provide their test results.
- Additional time will be given to the candidates who will be able to provide biometric verification and for health certificates.
Australia is one of the countries in the world with the lowest cases of Covid-19. So, soon Australia will be opening its borders for international students and tourists to visit the country or to pursue their studies.
The arrangements for the international students will provide international students with satisfaction to pursue their studies despite the Covid-19 wave.
